It appears that OpenAI’s goal is to eliminate all of its competitors. Following Google’s announcement last week that its new AI model, Gemini Ultra, can surpass GPT-4, Microsoft research used some cunning nudging to return GPT-4 to the top. And now OpenAI is aiming for Elon Musk’s Grok.
What Is Grok ?
The AI Grok was created by Elon Musk’s business, xAI, in March 2023. A generative AI model can produce text, code, and images that resemble those of a human. Grok is meant to respond to queries with a hint of humor and a rebellious attitude, drawing inspiration from “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. It also has a unique feature that suggests questions to ask.
Grok uses the O platform to access real-time global information. It can answer questions that other AI systems might turn down. Though it’s currently in early beta, improvements should come through quickly.
OpenAI-Axel Springer Partnership: A Game Changer for AI News
In an effort to provide OpenAI with real-time access to Axel Springer’s publications, the German news conglomerate, which owns magazines like Politico and Business Insider, announced a partnership with OpenAI.

How well ChatGPT and Grok perform in responding to queries for current events and news will have to wait.
